Technology at Worcester Endodontics
- Digital X-rays
- Autoclave Sterilization
- Operating Microscopes
- Apex Locators
We won’t put our patients’ health at risk; that’s why we use digital x-rays. This technology produces about 90% less radiation than traditional radiograph machines, which keeps our patients and our team safe. However, we encourage you to bring x-rays from your dentist’s or referring provider’s office. Our doctors may be able to utilize these images rather than taking new ones.
Worcester Endodontics uses autoclave sterilization to keep our tools and patients as sterile as we can! This is in accordance with OSHA regulations, and ensures that no contamination will take place at our Worcester, MA endodontic office.
So that we can work with the utmost precision during your endodontic service, our Worcester, MA specialists wear operating microscopes during exams and treatment. This magnification increases our ability to see your teeth and gums for successful procedures.
We use electronic apex locators to determine the exact location of your root canal. With outdated technology, endodontists have had to remove more of the existing tooth structure to find the problematic canal. With this updated equipment, our team can save more of your tooth and even save you time in the operatory as we efficiently perform root canal therapy.
- Massage Chairs
- Coffee and Bottled Water
- Toothpaste, Toothbrush, and Mouthwash
- Nitrous oxide
We encourage those in our care to ask us for any of these amenities during your visit. Our team wants to help you relax during your consultation or procedure. If dental work makes you anxious, our team can use nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, to calm your anxiety. This is inhaled though a nose mask, and can create a feeling of euphoria to relax you as we heal your smile. The best part of this amenity is that there are usually no after effects, allowing you to continue with your day like normal.
