When a primary (baby) tooth is compromised, a pulpotomy or pulpectomy can be performed, which is incredibly similar to a root canal and involves removing the infected nerve tissue from inside the tooth. Of course, if the child has an adult tooth that needs treatment, a standard root canal can be performed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fact #3: Root Canals Can Save You a Lot of Money<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You may believe that it would simply be cheaper and more convenient to have your problem tooth extracted, but this isn\u2019t true at all. While the upfront cost of a root canal might seem daunting, remember; it\u2019s always going to be cheaper to preserve your existing teeth than to extract them and have them replaced. Not to mention, there are numerous practical oral health benefits to having all your teeth.
